On the third day we were up early to visit and explore some caves. This was followed by a light lunch and a return cruise to the mainland. Glad to say the weather had improved and the scenery continued to be staggering. Back to Hanoi and we checked into our YOUTH HOSTEL. Check us out guys, we officially became the oldest swingers in town.

What makes travelling like this so special is the people you meet, the stories you share and the memories you make. We met some great people on this trip and we hope to catch up with Avinash, Terri, Zoey and Iris in a week or so when we get to Hoi An. They are a family 4 months into a year long world wide trip. Inspirational people.

Love those photos, scenery stunning💞

I’m afraid we didn’t do the kayaking at Ha Long, weather first day cold and overcast. Great crowd for us too, 6 Aussies, 1 Germans and a couple of brothers from North Carolina. Second day, sunshine. Loved the caves, amazing. Vietnamese people and food gorgeous. Off to Thailand tomorrow.
