Loved everything about Hanoi, the buzz, the people, the atmosphere and the food is fantastic for the foreign traveller. We followed Harry’s advice and went to Beer Street in the evening, it’s a hive of activity and we sat on small pallets and eat and drank and spoke to people from all over the world exchanging tips and places to visit.
Earlier we had followed some more advice and headed to Train Street. It’s a narrow pass with cafes and bars each side of the tracks. 22 spring rolls and a couple of beers each cost us just under £4 and we waited for the train to come past. Quite a sight when it blasts past, lights and horn on full.
