We left Phuket by taxi and ferry and arrived in Krabi about 2 hours later. The ferry was smooth and fast and we were happy to arrive surrounded by some beautiful beaches. Our hotel was quite remote with only 9 bungalows so not much to do but a fantastic place. We had the pool and beach to ourselves so took advantage and began to relax. One day a boat picked us up and took us to several island to snorkel. Everything is so relaxed it doesn’t matter to them if we were out 3/4/5/6 etc hours.
On leaving Krabi we ventured by road and speedboat to a small island called Koh Muk. There is a Main Street with bars and restaurants and a few bungalows dotted about. Ours was basic but very nice. A bamboo hut with a double bed and fan, then you walked down some steps to the toilet and shower. It cost £45 for 2 night including breakfast. A backpackers haven!,
